Botanical ingredients are directly derived from plants. A botanical ingredient is a compound of a personal care product that originates from plants (herbs, roots, flowers, fruits, leaves or seeds). They are valued for their medicinal or therapeutic properties, flavour, and/or scent. Botanical extracts can even skin tone, protect cells from harmful UV radiation, act as antioxidants, and improve hydration.
